MP for North Tongu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa says Appiah's unique compassionate gesture is proverbially teaching VRA-induced flood victims how to fish instead of merely giving them fish
The award-winning actress and commercial goddess, Jackie Appiah has sponsored 120 displaced persons in the North Tongu Constituency with skill set in order to be employable.
The beneficiaries went through weeks of intensive vocational and skills training in diverse fields including catering, metal works, hairdressing, fashion designing, cosmetology, tie and dye production and cake crafts.
The beneficiaries have since been presented with certificates and full start-up kits at an emotional but magnificent graduation ceremony in the Mepe St. Kizito Displaced Camp on the auspicious occasion of Jackie’s 40th birthday on Tuesday 5 December
MP for North Tongu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said Appiah’s unique compassionate gesture is proverbially teaching VRA-induced flood victims how to fish instead of merely giving them fish.
