Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia on Friday (8 March) commiserated with the family of the deputy finance minister John Kumah at his residence in Accra.
John Kumah died on Thursday (7 March) after a short illness.
Bawumia also used the opportunity to sign the book of condolence, describing the late deputy finance minister as a rising star.
“Indeed, Ghana and the NPP have lost a hard-working son. My deepest condolences to Lilian and the children, his mother, the entire family, and all loved ones. John, damirifa due!” Dr Bawumia posted on Facebook.
The vice-president was accompanied by a host of dignitaries, including the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei Opare, and Stephen Ayesu Ntim, the chairman of the New Patriotic Party.
