Walewale NPP women’s wing raises nomination fee for Bawumia

Constituency women's organiser Jamila Abuba said, among the presidential aspirants, Bawumia is the most competent and down-to-earth candidate to lead the NPP to victory in the 2024 general elections

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) women’s organiser in the Walewale constituency, Jamila Abuba, has raised the GHC50,000 nomination fee to support Mahamudu Bawumia’s presidential ambition.

NPP members in the constituency said some party stalwarts in the North East Region are mobilising funds to support Bawumia in his presidential bid.

Abuba said, among the presidential aspirants, Bawumia is the most competent and down-to-earth candidate to lead the NPP to victory in the 2024 general elections.

She said, “It is possible. The vice president is my ‘brother’ but not just that; he is the only candidate among the other contenders who can face any candidate from the opposition and win power.

“I believe that he can win power for the NPP in the 2024 elections. Breaking the eight is possible with him as our candidate. I am presenting the money to him on behalf of the women’s wing in the North East Region and Ghana at large because he has the development of the country at heart.

“When you meet the vice president, you will know that we still have good people in this country. So, why can’t I pick the form for this gentleman to lead the NPP when I can afford it?”
