Five-home based players included in Ghana’s final AFCON squad
Coach Milovan Rajevac is taking five home based players to the Nations Cup in Cameroon
Five home based players have been given the chance to be part of Ghana’s final squad for the Africa Cup of Nations this month.
Coach Milovan Rajevac trimmed down his 30-man squad to 28 with all the home-based players making the list for the AFCON tournament.
The five are; Richard Attah of Hearts of Oak, Dreams FC Duo of Fatawu Issahaku and Philemon Baffour ,David Abagna of Real Tamale United and Maxwell Abbey Quaye of Great Olympics.
All the five are new to the tournament and will be making their debut appearance.
The Black Stars have been camping in Doha, Qatar for the past two weeks ahead of the tournament.
The team will wrap up their test matches against African Champions Algeria on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.
Ghana is in Group C alongside Morocco, Gabon and Comoros
The Black Stars will face North African side Morocco in the opening group C game in Yaounde on January 10.
