Asaase Kumasi, Love House Ministries bring festive joy to King Jesus Charity Home

As part of the annual event, Asaase Kumasi and the church made significant donations to support the charity home

Staff of Asaase 98.5 MHz Kumasi, in collaboration with Love House Ministries International, brought festive joy to the King Jesus Charity Home at Boadi in the Oforikrom Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The pre-Christmas party held on Sunday (17 December) featured dance competitions, delicious meals, and confectioneries, creating an atmosphere of celebration for the nearly 100 inmates and caretakers.

As part of the annual event, Asaase Kumasi and the church made significant donations to support the charity home. Items donated include 15 bags of maize, 15 crates of eggs, vegetable cooking oils, sanitary pads, toiletries, 30 loaves of bread, 15 bags of evaporated milk, 3 bags of rice among others.

Rev. Michael Darkwah, Apostle and senior pastor of Love House Ministries International, emphasized the importance of providing equal opportunities to children in orphanages to prepare them for the future.

“We’ve known this home for about 10 years, and we have been here at various levels, so the motivation is scriptural and biblical. The proprietor here is a pastor, who attends to the spiritual needs of the motherless and the fatherless and so that is why we have been here with doctors, medicines, food items and cash. Together with Asaase things like this can also touch people as we demonstrate the practical love of God in this regard”, Apostle Darkwah told Asaase News.

“We are screening the caregivers and the children as well. We are targeting non-communicable diseases which is also a grave concern to the World Health Organization. And so, we will issue dewormers, and other drugs to improve their health”, said Dr Akua Afriyie, a leader of the health team.

Proprietor of the King Jesus Charity Home Rev. Kofi Owusu Afriyie expressed gratitude for the donations highlighting their significance amid the current economic challenges. He thanked Love House Ministries International and Asaase 98.5 FM for their generous and kind gesture.

“We are very happy to see you. The church has done a lot for us. Through these interventions, we have been able to support some 62 students who have completed university with 13 of them pursuing their master’s degree”, Owusu Afriyie said describing the intervention as timely.

For her part, the head of programmes at Asaase Kumasi, Naa Klordey Fritzel-Abban described this year’s edition as incredibly successful and urged corporate Ghana to partner with the radio station to pursue such gestures.
