Black Sherif grabs nomination for 55th NAACP awards

Award-winning Ghanaian rapper and singer Black Sherif has received a nomination in the “Best Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration” category at the 55th National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) awards.

Black Sherif shares this nomination with his collaborators, Dreamville’s American rapper Bas and Nigerian producer/singer Kel-P.

The trio earned recognition for their soundtrack contribution to the highly acclaimed film Creed III, a 2023 American sports drama produced and directed by Michael B. Jordan, who portrayed the lead character Adonis Creed in the movie.

The winners of the 55th NAACP awards will be unveiled during a two-hour live TV special airing on Saturday, 16 March 2024, at 8pm ET/PT on BET and CBS.

The voting period ends on 24 February 24 at 9pm

Additionally, NAACP will acknowledge winners in non-televised Image Awards categories from March 11-14th, with the events streaming via naacpimageawards.net.
