At least 52 persons are being processed for court for breaching COVID-19 protocols, the Bono East regional police commander, DCOP Asumadu Okyere Darko, has said.
The suspects are made up of 48 males and four females. They have since been granted bail. The police commander said the region is not relenting in its effort to enforce the safety protocols of COVID-19.
DCOP Darko made the disclosure in an interaction with the media during the second phase of nationwide disinfection of police facilities by Zoomlion.
He said with the rising cases of coronavirus, the police administration saw the need to engage Zoomlion Ghana Limited to disinfect all police installations nationwide.
The disinfection exercise, according to him, is taking place in Yeji, Atebubu, Kintampo, Techiman and Nkronsa.
