Vice-president Mahamudu Bawumia has donated food items to the overlord of the Gonja Kingdom, Yagbonwura Bi-kunuto Jewu Soale I.
Food items include 20 bags each of rice and sugar. The Savanna Regional minister, Saeed Muhazu Jiril, presented the items on behalf of the vice president on Friday 7 April at the Jakpa palace.
Jibril stated that donation is to support the king towards the Ramadan. He said “this gesture from the vice president is meant to support the king towards this year’s Ramadan.”
Benkrowura Saaka Seidu Bakari, the spokesperson for the Yagbonwura, thanked Bawumia for the kind gesture and regular support to the palace.
