Diana Hamilton: Winning Artiste of the Year at the VGMAs has given me more exposure

The “Adom” hitmaker in 2021 became the first female gospel musician to take home the ultimate prize in the history of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs)

Gospel artiste Diana Hamilton has said winning Artiste of Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) has not only enriched her but has given her more exposure.

The “Adom” hitmaker in 2021 became the first female gospel musician to take home the ultimate prize in the history of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs)

Speaking on the Red Carpet segment on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Wednesday (7 February), Hamilton said winning the VGMA has won her more ambassadorial roles.

“VGMA did not put any money in my hands, but it has helped me in a tremendous way by exposing me to a lot of brands and becoming their ambassador.”

“I have never shied away from saying that I am a church girl and that I attend the church of Pentecost. It is my life, and I am proud of it. I do not have a double standard of living,” Hamilton said.
