Eastern Region: KPN supports Nkawkaw Secondary School

The donation forms part of activities to mark the International Women's Day (IWD) celebration organized by the KPN for selected girls in second cycle schools in the Kwahu area

To complement efforts to manage water shortage at the Nkawkaw Secondary School in the Eastern Region, the Kwahu Professional Network (KPN) has donated a poly tank to the school.

The donation forms part of activities to mark the International Women’s Day (IWD) celebration organized by the KPN for selected girls in second cycle schools in the Kwahu area.

The president of the network, Prince Boateng, presented the poly tank to the school. He said the network assessed the needs of the school and decided to support it with a 1,000-litre capacity poly tank to serve the needs of the school.

He said “we hope the provision of this water tank will help the school and leave an impression from KPN members.”

The assistant headmistress in charge of academics, Vida Koranteng, described the donation as God-sent. She said it will help to store water when there is a shortage in the school.

She said “this donation will help the children to stay in school and not go out in search of water. We are very grateful to KPN.”

The KPN celebrates the IWD annually to inspire and mentor girls in second cycle schools to rise to the challenge of embracing equity.
