Eni challenges the perception that men can’t wear makeup

The 22-year-old makeup enthusiast claims that because he is the international brand ambassador for MAC cosmetics, he frequently wears makeup

Adeoluwa Enioluwa, Nigerian writer, public speaker and content creator has stated that everyone has the freedom to do as they please. He said that there is nothing wrong with men wearing makeup.

The 22-year-old makeup enthusiast claims that because he is the international brand ambassador for MAC cosmetics, he frequently wears makeup.

Speaking on Asaase 99.5 Accra’s Between Hours show on Thursday (9 March), Eni said, “I think at the end of the day, every individual has the right to choose what they want.

“But God knows I’m not trying to influence any man or anyone to wear makeup, especially if they don’t want to.”

He told host, Naa “I think what’s important is that young men especially, should be more concerned about themselves, their mental health and how they feel. Being vocal doesn’t make us soft, in my opinion.”

He said “it[being vocal] reduces suicide rates; I sometimes see a lot of family men and know they are not happy because they are not taking enough care of themselves.”

However, he stated that his ultimate goal is to live a fulfilled life.

Eni, affectionately called ‘lip-gloss boy’ said, “I want to live every day unbothered, flawlessly, with money in my bank account and enjoying myself.

“I need people to be fulfilled and love themselves. When you have problems, talk about them; don’t try to be manly and prove any masculinity.”
