Femi, Made Kuti team up for ‘father, son’ concert
Shortly after Femi and Made’s ‘Legacy+’ album got the Grammy nomination, the latter embarked on a tour outside the shores of Nigeria with his father and the Positive Force band
Weeks after he got his first Grammy Award nomination, Made, a grandson of the late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, has decided to return to his father, Femi Kuti’s Afrikan Shrine for a concert tagged, the ‘Father and Son experience.’
Shortly after Femi and Made’s ‘Legacy+’ album got the Grammy nomination, the latter embarked on a tour outside the shores of Nigeria with his father and the Positive Force band.
However, both father and son are currently gearing up for a joint concert tagged ‘Father & Son: The Experience,’ and organised by FK Management.
Made’s mother and the event’s planner, Funke, noted that the show seeks to bring ‘newly converted afrobeat fans to the Shrine. She said, “This concert will be their first co-headlined show since their joint Grammy nominations. It is a show that seeks to bring to the home of Afrobeat the old and the newly converted followers of the genre of music.”
