Benjamin Azamati is a rising star in the world of track and field.

The Ghanaian sprinter has been making waves in the athletics world with his impressive performances and record-breaking times.

First caught our attention in 2019

Azamati first gained international attention at the 2019 African Games in Rabat, Morocco, where he won a gold medal in the 100 meters with a time of 9.97 seconds.

This made him the first Ghanaian athlete to break the 10-second barrier in the event.

Set a new national record

Since then, Azamati has continued to impress on the track.

In 2021, he set a new national record in the 100 meters with a time of 9.97 seconds at the Texas Relays, becoming the first Ghanaian to run sub-10 seconds on US soil.

He also won the 100 meters at the African Championships in Lagos, Nigeria, with a time of 9.98 seconds.

Azamati’s success has not gone unnoticed, and he has been hailed as one of the most promising sprinters in Africa.
