Ghana signs visa waiver agreement with Malawi

A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration on Thursday (21 March) said the agreement took effect from 7 February, 2024

Ghana and Malawi have signed an agreement on a visa waiver regime for holders of ordinary, diplomatic and service passports, an official statement has said.

The agreement is expected to enhance  bilateral ties and ongoing collaboration between the two African countries.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration on Thursday (21 March) said the agreement took effect from 7 February, 2024.

“The Ministry of Affairs and Regional Intergration wishes to inform the public that the Republic of Ghana and the Republic of Malawi desirous of strengthening bilateral relations and existing cooperation have entered into an agreement on visa waiver regime for holders of ordinary, diplomatic and service passports which took effect from 7 February, 2024.”

“The travelling public is hereby advised to take note of this new visa waiver agreement,” the statement said.
