A member of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) communications team, Raynelle Nana Yaa Boadu, has cast doubt on the suitability of the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) running mate, Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, to help revive Ghana’s economy.
Speaking on The Forum on Asaase 99.5 Saturday (27 April), Boadu stated that Opoku-Agyemang lacks the necessary competence to drive the NDC’s economic agenda.
“She is not bringing anything new to the table,” Boadu said.
“Competence should be the hallmark; it should be the criteria, which she doesn’t have. I mean, as a professor and all that, she’s done well for herself but if you want to now bring the economy back on track, as they (NDC) say they want, to bring the ‘Ghana We Want’, then she is not the better option.”
Opoku-Agyemang was officially outdoored as running mate to NDC flagbearer John Mahama at the Kofi Ohene Konadu Auditorium at the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA) on Wednesday (24 April).
