No show at Oliver Barker-Vormawor’s trial

The #FixTheCountry convener has been charged with treason felony over a series of posts on social media last month

The Ashaiman district court has expressed concern over the failure of prosecution to show up in court on Tuesday in the case involving Oliver Barker-Vormawor.

The #FixTheCountry convener has been charged with treason felony over a series of posts on social media last month.

The accused person whose bail application would be determined on Wednesday was present in court with his counsel, but there was no representation from the prosecution.

Justice Srem Sai, the lead counsel for Barker-Vormawor, asked the court to discharge his client after prosecution failed to show up.

However, the judge Eleanor Kakra Barnes Botwe said the court will advise itself if the trend continues.

Barker-Vormawor has been in custody since 11 February. The case has been adjourned to 29 March 2022.
