Oware-Mensah: Black Queens likely to receive bonuses Thursday

Speaking on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Thursday (22 February), Oware-Menash said the Black Queens are expected to receive their bonuses today (22 February)

Ghana Football Association (GFA) executive council member, Gifty Oware-Mensah has said there is nothing hindering the Black Queens from playing Zambia in the first leg of the third-round Olympic qualifiers scheduled for the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday (23 February).

Oware-Mensah has come under immense criticism after allegedly justifying the rationale behind the delay in the payment of the Black Queens bonuses.

Speaking on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Thursday (22 February), Oware-Mensah said the Black Queens are expected to receive their bonuses today (22 February) after a meeting with the Sports Minister on Thursday.

“There is no dissatisfaction that is going to stop the girls from playing Zambia tomorrow (Friday). As we speak the girls are on their walks awaiting to go for training this afternoon.”

“We had meetings with the ministry, they are supposed to get them their final cheque today (Thursday). So we are waiting on the ministry …” Oware-Mensah said.
