PICTURES: Akufo-Addo and Mahama pay last respect to Kwesi Botchwey

Botchwey died on Saturday (19 November) at the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital after a short illness

President Nana Akufo-Addo and former president John Mahama on Thursday (22 December) joined hundreds of mourners at the forecourt of the State House to pay their last respects to Ghana’s longest-serving Finance Minister, Professor Kwesi Botchwey.
Botchwey died on Saturday (19 November) at the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital after a short illness.

Other dignitaries who attended the state funeral include Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the immediate past Speaker of Parliament, Prof Aaron Mike Oquaye and the diplomat, Dr Mohammed Ibn Chambas.
