The Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications has attributed the interruption in internet connectivity being experienced to an outage on multiple submarine optic fibres into the country.

The Telecoms Chamber in a statement on Thursday (14 March) investigations are underway to resolve the problem and restore services to customers.

The statement said the development is impacting internet, data and Voice over IP (VoIP) services of its members.

“There are outages on multiple submarines optic fibre cables that come into Ghana. Some of the cables are down while others are delivering limited capacity.”
