Russian state-owned news agency Sputnik expands its radio broadcast services to three African countries
Sputnik is a Russian state-owned news agency and radio broadcast service. It was established on the 10th of November 2014, by the Russian government-owned news agency Rossiya Segodnya.
It has started broadcasting in three African countries: Cameroon, Niger and Nigeria in English and French.
Sputnik has been broadcasting in Mali for over a year.
Sputnik operates news websites that provide reporting and commentary in 31 languages, including English, Spanish, Polish, and Serbian. The websites feature over 800 hours of radio broadcasting material daily and the newswire service runs 24/7.
