Techiman: Three passengers die in road crash

At least three people have been confirmed dead with two others in critical condition after a head-on collision between two vehicles at Nkwaeso in Techiman on Thursday (8 September).

The vehicle, a Matiz taxi, was heading towards Techiman from Sunyani and was dodging a pothole on the Techiman Sunyani highway when it collided with a Hyundai mini truck, which was also moving towards Sunyani.

The Techiman municipal commander at the Ghana National Fire Service, Dominic Twum Prempeh said: “So, the Hyundai mini van was from Techiman heading towards Sunyani, there were two persons on board – the driver and another lady.

“Unfortunately, the two of them sustained various degrees of injuries but they are alive. The driver in the taxi cap was able to survive, but the three other passengers in the taxi cab couldn’t survive.”
