Three students, one teacher die in fatal accident in Nkawkaw, says MCE

The deceased were members of the Ampea Memorial School and were returning home from school

Four people have died following a head-on collision, involving a bus and a vehicle carrying the DCE for Atwima Kwanwoma on Thursday (15 February) in Nkwakaw in the Eastern Region, the MCE, Kwahu West, Yaw Owusu Addo has said.

The four includes three students and a teacher of the Ampea Memorial School.

The DCE Prince Karikari was returning to Kumasi after a short medical treatment when the unfortunate incident occurred.

According to the MCE for Kwahu West, seventeen others who sustained serious injuries are currently receiving medical attention at various health facilities in the Eastern Region.

Speaking to Benjamin Offei-Addo on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Friday (16 February) Addo said the DCE for  twima Kwanwoma, Prince Karikari and four others have so far been discharged.

“We have lost three children, not five and one female teacher. Seventeen of the students are in critical condition and are in various hospitals in the Eastern Region, Addo said.
