UPSA receives accreditation for PhD, Mphil and MBA programmes
According to the chairman of the UPSA Council, the introduction of these new programmes attest to the commitment of the university to respond to current and anticipated future national needs of the country
The University for Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has received accreditation for the introduction of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master of Philosophy (Mphil) in Accounting and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Corporate Communications programmes for the 2022/2023 academic year.
The university, on its 14th convocation, graduated 4,015 students, comprising 826 postgraduates, 2,349 undergraduates, and 840 diploma students.
Speaking at an event to celebrate the new portfolio, the chairman of the UPSA council, Dr Kofi Ohene Konadu, commended the management of UPSA for putting measures in place to ensure the safety of the students during the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Ohene Konadu, the introduction of these new programmes attest to the commitment of the university to respond to current and anticipated future national needs of our country.
“At a time where people pay little or no attention to the existence of the pandemics, UPSA continues its stride as a leader among public universities. And I am proud to serve as the chairman of the council of this great and progressive university.”
