Cookathon: Meet man who cycled from Ashaiman To Tamale to support chef Faila

Zackariah Ibrahim embarked on a journey by cycling from Ashaiman to Tamale in support of chef Faila Abdul Razak's cookathon

Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak’s cooking marathon received massive support from personalities such as the Vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, former First Lady Lordina Mahama, politicians, MPs, and Ghanaian celebrities.

Zackariah Ibrahim, on the other hand, was a man who decided to embark on an incredible journey by cycling from Ashaiman to Tamale in support of Chef Faila Abdul Razak’s Guinness World Record cookathon.

Ibrahim,  was reportedly seen in tears as he failed to secure free food that was being served at Chef Faila Abdul Razak’s Guinness World Record cookathon.

He arrived after chef Faila had ended her cookathon attempt.

When travelling by bus, the distance between Accra and Tamale is 601.8 kilometres and takes about 12 hours. Ibrahim was spotted wearing a T-shirt with Faila’s photo printed on it.

The support for Ghanaian chef Failatu Abdul Razak kept growing by the day as she continued to aim to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking hours.

Many across the country have shown strong support for Chief Faila, including the Overlord of Dagbon Ndan Ya Naa, Kwabena Kwabena, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Asamoah Gyan, among others.

Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak prepared 156 meals and served 2,864 plates of food, of which 450 were served to children at the Tamale orphanage and vulnerable people on the streets of Tamale

Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak has gone beyond the Ugandan chef Dorcus Mirembe, popularly known as Mama D Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon with a cooking time of 144 hours and 20 minutes.
