Abu Jinapor commissions community centre in Damongo

Jinapor called for unity among ethnic groups and appealed to his constituents to continue to rally behind him

The member of parliament (MP) for Damongo constituency and minister for lands and natural resources, Samuel Abdulai Jinapor, has commissioned an ultramodern community centre in Damongo.

It is the town’s first community centre. The 300-capacity centre is aimed at bridging the community inclusion gap.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony on Sunday 14 May, Jinapor said the provision of the facility is in fulfilment of his promise to the town.

The young legislator emphasised that the centre will help promote social cohesion and other developmental benefits to the town.

Jinapor has developed the constituency since his tenure begun in January 2021. He has constructed two astro turf parks, built schools, extended rural electrification and resourced health and education sector workers.

“The man of action,” as his constituents call him, said he is committed to delivering on all his campaign promises.

“I will be with you today. I will be with you tomorrow. I will retire here in Damongo. I will die here in Damongo and I will be buried here in Damongo,” the MP said.

He called for continuous unity among ethnic groups and appealed to his constituents to continue to rally behind him.

The lawmaker said, “Come 2024, give me a sound commanding margin so that the country will know that you are behind me. Together, we will bring progress. We will bring development. We will bring unity, especially among the youth.”

Jinapor pledged his commitment to work in the best interest of his constituents. He said he will create more job opportunities for the unemployed youth.

The Savannah regional minister lauded Jinapor for developing the constituency in a way that no other MP has done. He told the people of Damongo they are lucky to have such a hard-working MP.

He urged them to vote massively for Jinapor in the 2024 general elections.
