West Gonja: Heavy rains destroy Damongo SHS

School officials are appealing to the government and the public to assist in bringing life back to campus

Heavy rains on Thursday destroyed parts of the Abu Juan House at the Damongo Senior High School in the West Gonja Municipality.

The home, which is named after the school’s first official headmaster, was partially damaged by the rainstorm, which compelled students to flee for their lives.

School authorities are calling on the government and the general public to come to their aid to help fix the damage.

The West Gonja Municipal Chief Executive Karim Musah Kusubari together with the municipal coordinating director Petro P. Ankorle and other staff of the assembly visited the school and provided shelter for the students.

The MCE gave assurance to the school’s administration and students that the assembly will work with the MP Abu Jinapor, and regional minister, Saeed Muhazu Jibril, to ensure that the dormitory is renovated as soon as possible so that students can resume their normal activities on campus.
