The September-Born Project Group - made up of individuals born in September - made the donation to help the needy in society

The CEO of Justmoh Group of Companies, Justice Amoh has led a team to donate items worth over GHC5000 and cash to two special needs schools in the Western Region.

The September-Born Project Group – made up of individuals born in September – made the donation to help the needy in society.

The headmistress of Twin City Special School, Cressential Efua Billson-Sai, used the occasion to appeal for more of such support for children with special needs.

Billson-Sai said even though the government is doing its best to support special schools, the magnitude of their challenges cannot be solely handled by the government thus the need for individuals and corporate entities to come on board.

“The government is doing well with the disability fund but that alone is not enough. As I speak now, all the children share the same dormitory, which is not safe, we need another so we can separate them,” she said.

A similar donation was also made to the Catholic Vocational Special School at Fijai. The items donated to the two schools included toiletries, groceries, detergent, sanitary pads and cheque amount, all totaling over GHC5,000.

Justice Amoh said the gesture is their way of giving back to society, calling on others to emulate the gesture.

“We have taken the lead to in our small way to meet the demands of our brothers and sisters with special needs, but we cannot do it all alone. So, we stretch our hands to other people within and beyond our boundaries to come support this special initiative,” he said.

The Twin City Special School represented Ghana in Dubai last year after emerging winners at the special schools Olympics.

The school is scheduled to host this year’s inter regional competition from 4 to 8 October. The winning school will represent Ghana in Spain this year.
