Yaw Adutwum: Koforidua SECTECH has not been closed down over food shortage

The Ministry of Education had earlier dismissed reports of food shortage in some senior high schools, particularly in the Greater Accra Region

The Minister of Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum has refuted claims that Koforidua Senior High Technical School (SECTECH) has been shut down due to shortage of food.

The Ministry of Education had earlier dismissed reports of food shortage in some senior high schools in the country, particularly in the Greater Accra Region.

Speaking to Benjamin Offei-Addo on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Tuesday(26 March), Adutwum attributed the report to misinformation to score cheap political point.

“This morning somebody sent me a message on our diasporian platform that Koforidua Senior High Technical School (SECTECH) has been closed down because there is no food.”

“I immediately called the Free SHS coordinator and he said it was not true, the school has not been closed down. So I had to respond and they were all relieved,” he said.
