betPawa shifts sponsorship to players after withdrawal from Premier League deal

Ghana Premier League players will now benefit directly from the partnership with an increase in the Locker Room Bonus by 167% of the deal

betPawa has announced a new agreement with the Ghana Football Association to shift its partnership focus to players directly.

Ghana Premier League players will now benefit directly from the partnership with an increase in the Locker Room Bonus by 167% of the deal.

The bonus has now been increased from GHC150 to GHC 450 as a winning bonus for every match a team wins in the Ghana Premier League.

The betting company pulled out of the deal over dissatisfaction with the return on their investments just one year into the $6 million three-year partnership signed in August 2022.

betpawa also stated that it will complete the first phase of the betpawa Park which was included in the initial deal.

“We want to assure the sporting community that BetPawa and GFA will continue to work together to develop and improve football standards in the country.”- the statement said.
