Black Sherif sued over breach of contract

Shadrach Agyei Owusu, the CEO of Waynes Chavis Consult, has sued Mohammed Ismail Sherif, for breach of contract

Mohammed Ismail Sherif, popularly known as Black Sherif, has been sued by Shadrach Agyei Owusu, the CEO of Waynes Chavis Consult over breach of contract.

The lawsuit stems from allegations that Black Sherif ignored his investor after he invested in his career.

Black Sherif was reported to have signed a distribution deal with Empire Music without the consent of his investor, who purportedly has a business management contract with him. The contract requires that he conducts all his activities through the investor who came on board to help the artiste.

In the writ of summons dated 11 April 2022, Owusu requests that Black Sherif is prevented from performing at events without his consent.

He also requests an order for the preservation of all funds accrued from Black Sherif’s online streams.

Owusu also wants a receiver to be taking the proceeds of all funds that will be accrued from the activities of the defendant.

This comes at a time when Black Sherif’s current single, “Kwaku The Traveller,” is at the top of the worldwide charts, making him Ghana’s most sought-after musician in recent years.

Black Sherif is yet to officially respond to the writ.
