At least five more persons have died of COVID-19 pushing Ghana’s death toll to 771, reports the Ghana Health Service (GHS).
The country’s active cases have also dropped marginally to 1, 362 after 44 new coronavirus cases were confirmed at the laboratories.
As at 14 April 2021, the GHS reports that the country’s total confirmed cases increased to 91, 663 out of which 89, 530 have recovered.
So far, 30 cases have been classified as severe while nine remain critical, according to GHS. Cases detected at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) are 1,411 with 1,340 recoveries so far.

Over 850,000 Ghanaians receive jabs
More than 850,000 Ghanaians have so far been vaccinated against COVID-19 since the first phase of the exercise was rolled out across the country on 2 March 2021.
Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, director-general of the Ghana Health Service, who announced this at a press briefing on Sunday said measures put in so far during the Easter festivities to contain COVID 19 Spread have yielded results.
