Damongo: Abu Jinapor commissions new astroturf

Jinapor, who doubles as the MP for the area, said the new facility is in fulfilment of one of his dreams to support sports

Samuel Abu Jinapor, the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, has commissioned an ultra modern astroturf in Damongo to boost sporting activities in the constituency.

Jinapor, who doubles as the MP for the area, said the new facility is in fulfilment of one of his dreams to support sports.

He said the new facility will provide an opportunity for the youth to become more fruitful and united. “Let us unite for progress and development,” he said.

Jinapor promised to build a similar astroturf for the people of Larabanga, Busunu and Canteen in the West Gonja municipality.

The Damongo astroturf, which is fully funded by the MP, and the largest in the country, will bring the number of astroturfs to three in the Savannah region.
