Damongo: REGSEC urges calm during enskinment of new king
Speaking to Asaase News, the chairman of the REGSEC, who doubles as the Savannah Regional minister, Saeed Muhazu Jibril, commended the people and all stakeholders for maintaining the peace in the run-up to the enskinment and outdooring of the new Yagbonwura
The Savannah Regional Security Council (REGSEC) has urged the people of Gonjaland, especially the youth, to continue to keep the peace in order to have an incident-free enskinment of the new king and overlord of Gonjaland.
Speaking to Asaase News, the chairman of the REGSEC, who doubles as the Savannah Regional minister, Saeed Muhazu Jibril, commended the people and all stakeholders for maintaining the peace in the run-up to the enskinment and outdooring of the new Yagbonwura.
He stated that the REGSEC is keenly monitoring all activities and wishes to express gratitude to all, especially the teaming youth. He said “on this note, I wish to urge all of us to continue to keep the peace in order to have an incident-free enskinment and outdooring of our new king.”
The REGSEC boss noted that the smooth and peaceful selection of the new overlord of the Gonjas has been highly admired by many. He urged them to ensure a peaceful enskinment.
The new Yagbonwura is expected to be enskinned today Monday 20 March at Nyange, the traditional capital of Gonjaland. He will be outdoored on Tuesday 21 March at the Jakpa palace in Damongo.
