EC: We’re poised for a successful limited voter registration exercise from 7 May

The 21-day exercise which will end on 27 May is targeting individuals who have turned 18 years since the last registration

The Electoral Commission (EC) says it has put in place adequate measures to ensure a successful limited voter registration exercise from Tuesday (7 May) ahead of the December elections.

The 21-day exercise which will end on 27 May is targeting individuals who have turned 18 years since the last registration.

According to the EC, the exercise will be conducted at all 268 district offices and 70 difficult-to-access electoral areas including 25 public universities.

Speaking to Kwaku Nhyira-Addo on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Monday ( 6 May), the director of electoral services at EC, Dr Serebour Quaicoe said “By the grace of God we are set for tomorrow.”

“We are doing the registration at all 268 district offices, in addition to that, we have more than 700 difficult-to-access areas that we are covering.”

He added “… we are covering 25 of the public universities. So, we are not registering only in our district offices.”
