Election 2024: Stand united behind Bawumia’s vision, Samira rallies Zongo communities

The wife of the vice-president underscored the urgency for Zongo solidarity in rallying behind the NPP presidential candidate

The wife of the vice-president, Hajia Samira Bawumia has stressed the importance of unity among Zongo communities to bolster the presidential aspirations of Dr Mahmudu Bawumia.

Addressing attendees at the Zongo Queen Mothers and Female Clerics Ramadan Conference at the Kumasi Central Mosque on Saturday (14 March), the second lady underscored the urgency for Zongo solidarity in rallying behind the NPP presidential candidate.

She called for prayer and voting support for Dr Bawumia to continue the good foundations laid down by the Akufo-Addo-led administration.

“As we journey through the holy month of Ramadan we have been praying fervently for a leader who will save this country and that is Dr Mahamudu Bawumia. His vision will benefit all of us and I urge you to support this vision…As your daughter I remain committed to empower women, especially within Zongo communities”, the Second Lady stated.

The event was held under the theme: “Advocating the Contribution of Zongo Queen Mothers and Female Clerics to National Development”.

For his part, Alhaji Saalim Bamba, the Ashanti Regional NPP Nasara Coordinator echoed Samira Bawumia’s sentiments, emphasizing that former President John Dramani Mahama should not be considered a viable option for the upcoming election.

He urged Ghanaians to throw their support behind Dr. Bawumia, expressing confidence in his ability to continue the positive trajectory set by President Nana Addo’s government.
