GHS commends Asaase Foundation for supporting health institutions with dialysis machines

The donation climaxed the multiple milestone anniversaries of Asaase Broadcasting Company’s radio stations in Accra, Kumasi, Tamale and Cape Coast

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has commended Asaase Foundation for supporting some health institutions across the country with seven state-of-the-art dialysis machines.

The beneficiary institutions are Upper East Regional Hospital Volta Regional Hospital, Obuasi District Hospital, Sogakope District Hospital, Enchi Government Hospital, Greater Accra Regional Hospital and Bono Regional Hospital.

The donation climaxed the multiple milestone anniversaries of Asaase Broadcasting Company’s radio stations in Accra, Kumasi, Tamale and Cape Coast.

This remarkable occasion was part of the Asaase Foundation’s Kidney Health campaign, which aims to enhance access to life-saving dialysis treatment across the nation.

Speaking on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Tuesday (20 June), the director general of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye said the gesture will go a long way to save lives.

“…Many people don’t have access to these life-saving dialysis machines, so what you have done is going to really assist and create more access, especially in the regions beyond Kumasi and Accra,” he said.
