George Andah: Afenyo-Markin convinced me to enter into active politics

The marketing communications specialist and a founding member of OccupyGhana has stated that his decision to become a frontline politician was influenced by MP for Effutu Alexander Afenyo-Markin

The former Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West, Nenyi George Andah, has revealed that but for the encouragement of Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, he wouldn’t have joined politics actively.

In his autobiography titled “Determined to do more”, the marketing communications specialist and a founding member of OccupyGhana has stated that his decision to become a frontline politician was influenced by the Member of Parliament for Effutu, Alexander Afenyo-Markin.

With the sub-headline “Frontline Politics”, George Andah detailed how he became a politician. “Alex Afenyo-Markin (MP) played a key role by constantly challenging me while I was with OccupyGhana to step into the fray and directly contribute my quota by way of public service”

From the above, George Andah is emphasizing that he owes the beginning of his political journey to the Deputy Majority Leader of Parliament, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin whose continuous pieces of advice to him catapulted him into the limelight of Ghana’s political landscape.

The book which has since been launched by the former Awutu Senya West Member of Parliament contains 400 pages with eleven chapters which details a wide range of topical subjects in his life including his political career.

The literary work also delves into the experiences of George Andah in the corporate world; his work with MTN and other establishments he had stints with before joining the South African mobile telecommunications giant.

Nenyi George Andah’s autobiographical masterpiece also acts as a source of valuable insights and lessons for readers, including politicians. His successes as well as failures have been well captured in his book.
