Gyakie beats Angélique Kidjo, KiDi and others to win best West African artiste of the year

Sensational singer Jackie Acheampong, also known as Gyakie, has been named the Best West African Artiste of the Year at this year’s Headies Award.

The Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, hosted the prestigious and well-known award ceremony.

The “Forever” hitmaker beat Amaarae, Angélique Kidjo, Aya Nakamura, KiDi, and Nelson Freitas to win the prestigious award.
