Ho: Three children and woman, 60, injured in gruesome road crash

Three children, a 60-year-old woman and several others sustained severe injuries on Monday (28 August) when a Hyundai caravan crashed into a culvert in the Volta regional capital, Ho.

The accident occurred on the Kpenoe-Bentota T-junction near the 66 Artillery Regiment, Ho. According to eyewitnesses, the car with registration number ER-1175-Z lost balance while negotiating a curve.

Personnel of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service responded swiftly at the accident scene to protect lives.

The victims are receiving medical attention at the Ho Teaching Hospital.

They said they have gathered the “necessary information” to enable them to investigate and determine the actual cause of the crash.

The officers are therefore urging the general public, especially residents in the capital, Ho to check-up on their relatives.
