Kennedy Agyapong: Ghana needs a businessman as president to turn economy around
Agyapong says his boldness, truthfulness and business acumen puts him ahead of the other contenders vying for the NPP flagbearer position
A flagbearer aspirant of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has emphasised the need for Ghanaians to give a businessman like him the opportunity to become president.
The maverick politicians said his boldness, truthfulness and business acumen puts him ahead of his four contenders vying for the NPP flagbearership.
Speaking after casting his vote at the Pentecost Centre at Assin Fosu in the Central Region on Saturday (4 November), Agyapong said he is the best candidate to beat the opposition NDC.
“Kennedy Agyapong will beat John Mahama hands down, no doubt. What Ghanaians are expecting is a bold and honest leader. They have tried politicians who are lawyers, soldiers, economists and still Ghanaians feel it is not enough.”
“And therefore, let’s give Kennedy Agyapong, the businessman a chance and let’s see what a businessman can also do. These advantages; my boldness, the truthfulness, and the businessman makes me stand tall,” Agyapong said.
