The Member of Parliament for the Buem Constituency in the Jasikan Municipality of the Oti Region, Kofi Adams, has officially filed his nomination for a second term in office.
The nomination was filed by Tsyawo Johnson and Raymond Akpabli, both constituency executive members and Abubakar Siba (constituency youth organiser) on behalf of Adams on Monday 20 March.
Adams, who has served as MP for the past two and a half years, seeks to continue delivering on his promises to his constituents.
Speaking to Asaase News, Adams commended the constituency executives for their overwhelming support and pledged to continue his good work if given the opportunity to serve for another term.
Adams has executed several socio-economic development projects in the constituency since he assumed office. These include the provision of potable water to communities that previously lacked it, the construction of roads, renovation of public facilities such as schools and hospitals and the provision of entrepreneurial support to young people.
Given his track record of delivering on promises, Adams is poised to be a formidable force in the upcoming electoral contest for the seat of the MP in the Buem constituency. The National Democratic Congress is hopeful that he will emerge victorious once again and continue to serve his constituents with distinction.
