Eastern Region: Police officer crashed to death

The incident occured on Thursday (9 December)  after a Toyota Tundra allegedly crashed into the barricade and knocked down Constable General Chris Quarshie

A police constable stationed at the Akwadum barrier along the Koforidua-Suhum highway in the Eastern Region has been killed.

The incident occured on Thursday (9 December)  after a Toyota Tundra allegedly crashed into the barricade and knocked down Constable General Chris Quarshie.

Constable Quarshie sustained serious injury and was rushed to the St Joseph’s Hospital for medical attention.

He was referred to the 37 Military Hospital in Accra for further treatment but died later.

The driver of the vehicle John Agyei is currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
