North East Region: Businesswomen in Walewale form association to support Bawumia

The move by the businesswomen in the Walewale community is to ensure that the vice-president wins the 2024 presidential election

Over a hundred businesswomen in Walewale in the West Mamprusi Municipality of the North east Region have formed an association dubbed “Walewale Business Women For Bawumia” to support Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia in his quest to becoming president in the 2024 general elections.

The move by the business women in the Walewale community is to ensure that the vice-president wins the 2024 general elections.

According to the businesswomen it is a blessing that their tribesman is vying for the presidency. They also promised to undertake a 24/7 campaign to ensure that the vice-president wins the presidency and that Mahama Tia Abdul Kabiru, wins the office of Member of Parliament.

Salifu Amina in an interview with Asaase News said, “The purpose of forming this group is [that] Bawumia is our own brother, our father, our husband, and then son. So, because of Bawumia that is the reason why we’ve formed this group.”

“We are looking at development. If there is development, I think everybody can benefit from it so that is the reason why we organised [the] Bawumia business group … ” Amina said.

Hajia Mulikatu Alhassan also said they are happy to form the group and that they will have a door-to-door campaign ahead of the 2024 national elections.

“We are very happy to form this group so that we will also move forward. Even NDC people will vote for Doctor, Insha Allah! They will vote for him and he will become president of Ghana. We will do a door-to-door campaign and we will make sure that he becomes president one day and Dr Kabiru too will be in Parliament,” Mulikatu said.

She added, “We are more than a hundred and we want to convince people so that they will come in and we will all vote for our Bawumia.”
