OSP petitioned to probe Ken Agyapong over GHC120,000 to Adwoa Safo

The Assin Central MP on Tuesday told Asaase Radio he was given the said amount by the Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Osei-Opare to deposit into the account of Adwoa Safo

A group calling itself Crusaders Against Corruption (CACG) has petitioned the Special Prosecutor to investigate the source of GHC 120,000 allegedly given to Kennedy Agyapong to deposit into the account of Dome- Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo.

The Assin Central MP on Tuesday told Asaase Radio he was given the said amount by the Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Osei-Opare to deposit into the account of Adwo Safo.

The group also demanded the source of fund for hiring a private jet to transport some three MPs including Kennedy Agyapong from the US to enable them to vote in passing the controversial E-Levy bill currently before Parliament.

“Mr. Special Prosecutor, in line with the aforementioned, Crusaders Against Corruption Ghana (CACG) is officially petitioning your office to as a matter of urgency, public interest and for protecting the public purse:

1. Investigate the source of funding

2. Determine wether or not there is misappropriation of public funds from the office of the Chief of Staff or any other public office.

3.  Determine wether or not the publication made by Kennedy Agyapong is false.
