President Akufo-Addo praised the Chief Imam for playing a pivotal role in ensuring religious tolerance in Ghana

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Sunday paid a visit to the National Chief Imam, Dr Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu at his residence to wish him a happy 104th birthday.

Akufo-Addo was accompanied by the First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo.

Sharing the news on Facebook on Sunday (23 April), Akufo-Addo said the Chief Imam has played a pivotal role in ensuring religious tolerance in Ghana.

“On Sunday, 23rd April 2023, my beautiful Rebecca and I visited the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, at his residence in Fadama, to wish him a happy 104th birthday. By every measure, it is a blessed and privileged club.

“The National Chief Imam’s guidance of the Muslim flock in Ghana has been truly exemplary. Our country may well be the envy of the rest of the world, when it comes to the question of religious tolerance and peaceful co-existence. His leadership and contribution to this state of affairs have been outstanding.”

“We continue to pray for Almighty’s blessings of wisdom, good health, long life, and prosperity for him,” Akufo-Addo posted on Facebook.
