Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko, have been drawn against FC Nouadhibou of Mauritania in the preliminary round of the 2020/2021 CAF Champions League.

The draw for the preliminary and first rounds of the continent’s flagship tournaments was held in Cairo, Egypt on Monday, 9 November 2020.

The Porcupine Warriors will travel to Mauritania for the first leg of the tie on the weekend of 27 to 29 November, 2020. The second leg of the tie is expected to be played on the weekend of 4 to 6 December.

If Asante Kotoko are able to see off eight-time Mauritanian champions, Nouadhibou, they will face the winners of the tie between Al Hilal Club of Sudan and Ugandan champions, Vipers SC.

Apart from competing in the CAF Champions League and the MTN FA Cup, Maxwell Konadu’s men will also attempt to win a record 24th Ghana Premier League title. That campaign begins with a game at home with Eleven Wonders on 14th November 2020.
