St. Bernadette Soubirous School: 2002 old students organise end-of-year back-to-school party

This party follows a donation of a 3D signage, an LED Screen, 10 tables, and 10 swivel chairs the group handed to the school 3 weeks earlier

Old students of St. Bernadette Soubirous School Dansoman, have organised an end-of-year back-to-school party to climax their 20th year since leaving school and look back with gratitude.

This party follows a donation of a 3D signage, an LED Screen, 10 tables, and 10 swivel chairs the group handed to the school 3 weeks earlier.

Doctors, Lawyers, Accountants Musicians and other professionals were among the well-placed members of the year group who came to celebrate the milestone.

The President of the year group, Nana Kwabena Adu Adjei, urged those present to make it a point to have their old school in mind since it was the place that nurtured them. He also urged them to adopt the culture of giving back to their Junior High Schools as is done amongst most Senior High Schools.

“In my Senior High Alma mater, Mfantsipim School, we have this culture of identifying and executing projects decades after leaving school.

“This is the motivation with which we organised ourselves and gave back to St. Bernadette. The overall agenda here is to call on other year groups to come back and collectively donate a bus to the school.”

As part of the celebrations, they shared fond memories during their time in the school amidst laughter and jeers.

Some members of the 2001 year group also joined the back-to-school party to support and cheer on their juniors from school and make the event memorable.
