40-year-old man beheaded at Kete-Krachi

The assemblyman, together with the youth of the area, have retrieved the body of the deceased, which has since been deposited into the Krachi West Municipal government hospital morgue for preservation and investigations

A man believed to be in his 40s has been beheaded by some unknown assailants in Oti Region.

Speaking to the assemblyman for the area, he said that this man was killed on Monday(3 July) at Ntewusua, a suburb community of Kete-Krachi in the Krachi West Municipality.

He said, a group of women who were going to the farm on Monday morning met the lifeless body of the man with his head and private parts cut off.

The assemblyman of the area, Philip Donkor, confirmed the incident to Asaase NewsĀ and said the case has been reported to the police in Krachi West.

Donkor noted that the investigation is ongoing and that the media will be given details later.

Speaking to some residents of the area, they expressed worry about the unfortunate incident.

According to them, since the incident occurred, works on their farms ceased.

Meanwhile, the Krachi West municipal police command deployed police officers to patrol the community.
