U S ambassador Virginia Palmer visits Greater Accra minister

The meeting was held on Monday (14 November) at the Regional Coordinating Council to discuss how the campaign, "Let's make Greater Accra work again" will be beneficial for all

The U S ambassador to Ghana, Virginia Palmer has paid a working visit to the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey to discuss matters of mutual interest to both the embassy and the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC).

The meeting was held on Monday (14 November) at the Regional Coordinating Council to discuss how the campaign,Let’s make Greater Accra work again” will be beneficial to both parties.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Palmer said she is looking forward to collaborating more with the coordinating council.

“I appreciate this visit and enjoyed your plans for the future,” she said.

In 2021, the Greater Accra Regional Minister launched the “Let’s make Greater Accra work again” project. Activities including environmental cleaning, decongestion exercises, demolition of unauthorised structures in the national capital were carried out.

The ‘Operation Clean Your Frontage’, was aimed at getting individuals and corporate entities to clean and green their immediate surroundings has also been one of their major objectives.
