VIDEO: American Youtuber builds 100 wells in Africa

Critically acclaimed American Youtuber who goes by the name, "Mr.Beast" built 100 wells in Africa as shown in his YouTube video

American YouTuber MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, built 100 wells in Africa in a recent YouTube video.

MrBeast has 207 million YouTube subscribers and was on the Forbes list for highest-paid youtuber last year.

From YouTube alone, he has earned US$82 million.

Donaldson began posting videos to YouTube in early 2012, at the age of 13 and has become increasingly popular ever since.

He runs several YouTube channels, including MrBeast, Beast Reacts, MrBeast Gaming, MrBeast 2 (formerly MrBeast Shorts), and Beast Philanthropy.

In January 2017, Donaldson published a video of himself counting to 100,000, which became his breakthrough viral video. He gained popularity with his outlandish stunts and gave out $1 million through them.

Donaldson’s videos are categorized into three genres: stunt videos, junklord videos and giveaway videos. His videos leverage YouTube’s recommendation algorithm to go viral and are designed to attract attention by promising outrageous stunts and using specific keywords like “24-hours” and “challenge”.

In his recent video, MrBeast and his team journeyed to Kenya to construct wells in various districts, including Nairiri, an administrative area of Kenya, and Tongagora clinic, a rural area in Zimbabwe, Cameroon, Uganda, Zimbabwe. In total, they built 100 wells, providing the locals with access to clean drinking water. The video can be found below.

Apart from constructing the wells, he also met with schoolchildren and bought them bicycles. In addition to providing computers and projectors to rural schools, a bridge was also built.

This project worked in conjunction with his  Water is Life Campaign, which is an initiative to help disadvantaged countries around the world get access to clean water.
